Terms and Conditions
The $129 Ultimate Annual Smoke Alarm Service complies a property with the Fire and Emergency Services (Domestic Smoke Alarms) Amendment Act 2016 and Building Fire Safety (Domestic Smoke Alarms) Legislation Amendment Regulations 2016. Property must have had Development Approval before January 1, 2017 and required number of additional 240v or 10 year lithium battery, interconnected, photoelectric smoke alarms must be installed so property complies with aforementioned legislation. Properties enrolled in the $129 Ultimate Annual Smoke Alarm Service that do not require additional smoke alarms installed to meet compliance, will not be eligible for $100 Visa Gift Card.
Prior to initial visit under $129 Ultimate Annual Smoke Alarm Service, Property Manager or Landlord must sign “Approval to perform additional works” form and return to Smoke Alarm Solutions.
The $129 Ultimate Annual Smoke Alarm Service fee covers the cost for an electrician/technician to inspect the property and advise how many additional smoke alarms are required for compliance, plus any additional compliance inspections required throughout the year, as well as a 5 year warranty of all smoke alarms installed by Smoke Alarm Solutions employees. Additional 240v, photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms will be installed at the property in order to comply with new legislation, at a cost of $229 per alarm. A 10 year sealed lithium battery smoke alarm will be installed where it is not possible to install a 240v alarm. An invoice for service fee and additional smoke alarms will be sent to Property Manager following inspection at the rental property. A property must have 240v, photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms in each bedroom to comply with new legislation. A property must have at least one smoke alarm per level. If property contains a study that is converted intoa room in which people sleep, an additional alarm will be required.
Queensland rental properties have until 2022 to comply with new legislation.
Work orders must be submitted to Smoke Alarm Solutions by 5pm AEST on September 30, 2017 to be eligible for this promotion. This promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. This promotion is valid from 1/8/2017 – 30/9/2017 for properties located in QLD only.
Office must be a current member of Holiday Rewards Plus to be able to be awarded with bonus Holiday Rewards dollars from the end of October 2017 (at conclusion of promotion), and once the service and smoke alarm invoice is fully paid to Smoke Alarm Solutions. Clients can become HRP member online at www.smokealarmsolutions.com.au/rewards. $25 bonus Holiday Rewards will only be awarded for each property enrolled and paid for in the $129 Ultimate Annual Smoke Alarm Service for the first time.
Smoke Alarm Solutions will mail bonus $100 Visa Cards to eligible landlords at the conclusion of the promotion period. Landlord details (name and postal address) will need to be provided to Smoke Alarm Solutions by Property Manager in order for bonus $100 Visa Cards to be mailed to eligible Landlords. $100 Visa Cards will be mailed when inspection is carried out and the applicable property/ies is/are made compliant by installing any additional required smoke alarms, and invoice for service and alarms is fully paid.
~24/7 Emergency Service Qualification criteria: Property located within 50km of Sydney, Melbourne and Townsville GPO, or 100km from Brisbane GPO. Property has sounding smoke alarm that has started outside of working hours (8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday).
